Youth Mission Trip to Savannah, GA July 18-25

This summer 7 youth and 5 adult volunteers will travel to Savannah, GA for a week long mission trip of hands-on outdoor service projects. Follow our Facebook page for updates from the group during the trip.

From the itinerary:

We’ll be staying in Jacksonville until Saturday afternoon – some of our sightseeing options are the Southbank Riverwalk, Sweet Pete’s Candy store (might be a bad idea to sugar them all up because it’s not like we can send them home lol), and Friendship Fountain.

We’ll be at our service sites from 9:30 AM-3:30 PM on Mon-Thurs. Project details are still in the works. Yes - we’ll stay well hydrated!

We will be able to also do some sightseeing in Savannah – those places include Tybee Island Light Station, Fort Pulaski National Monument, Tybee Island Beach or Back River Beach, Savannah’s Historic District, Forsyth Park, Historic River Street, Historic Leopold’s Ice Cream, and last but not least a ghost tour.

Join us for outdoor worship on Sunday, July 6 at 10:30 along with our partners, Lakeview Lutheran Church and Eternal Flame Church.  A picnic, activities for kids and families, and time of fellowship will follow worship. If you can help with setup or cleanup contact Mark here.

Thank you to all who helped with the design, preparation, weeding, and planting of our new pollinator garden!  Besides being a nourishing stop for our pollinator friends, let it be a peaceful, restful, soul-nourishing stop for you as you visit this summer.
