Extravagant Generosity

‘We Go All In to Put God First’

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life (John 3:16). Jesus Christ went all in within all of life, investing his heart, mind, body, soul, relationships, and resources into giving away the Kingdom of God. Following the example of Jesus, we are called to go all in as well, to invest everything to seek what is most valuable. We practice Extravagant Generosity by investing our whole selves, spiritual, relational, physical, intellectual, and financial in the Kingdom of God. From grateful hearts transformed by God’s Extravagant Generosity toward us, our lives overflow with abundant joy and blessing for others and the world into everything we say and do, everyone we meet, and everywhere we go. We practice Extravagant Generosity by investing our whole selves and our entire lives, everything we have and all that we are to encounter God, love one another, and reach the world like Jesus.

During our 2020 stewardship emphasis. “Rooted & Growing,” we hope to show how important our giving is and what it means to so many people, not only in our congregation but throughout the community, the Saint Paul Area Synod and the world.

Dream Big
“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”  –Jeremiah 29:11
  • “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord…”God has big plans in store for us!
  • “…plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”God’s plans are for our good. God has an awesome future in store for us! There is always hope!
  • “When you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you.” God hears our prayers. We’re not alone and God is faithful!
  • “When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart. I will let you find me.” We are invited to seek for God with our whole heart. We will find God and not be disappointed!
  • “I will restore your fortunes…” Wow! God promises nothing less than our complete restoration and flourishing!

EXTRAVAGANT GENEROSITY FAITH PROMISE

With grateful hearts for God’s extravagant generosity and as an expression of our Christian stewardship, we are looking to faithfully promise to invest ourselves in making a positive difference for the purposes of Christ through the ministry of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church.
We joyfully invest ourselves…
SPIRITUALLY, investing heart and soul in relationship to God.
INTELLECTUALLY, investing knowledge, spiritual gifts, and creativity.
RELATIONALLY, investing heart and life in other people.
     FINANCIALLY, investing money.
     PHYSICALLY, investing time and energy.
