Women on the Patio — Summer Bible Study

All women are invited join the  “A Jesus Shaped Life” Bible study on the patio!! 

Dates Ahead:   Saturday, July 21, 9 AM to 11 AM & Monday, August 20, 6 PM to 8 PM  

“A Jesus-Shaped Life” offers simple and practical tools to help everyday people learn this way of life by drawing nearer to Jesus and his extended family on mission. Readers are introduced to the core principles of biblical empowerment, discipleship, and mission.  

Spending the Summer With the Holy Spirit

You are invited to read the book of book of Acts, two (2) chapters each week, for the fourteen weeks of summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day (a weekly reading guide is available from the church office or our website). Also, we invite you to find another person or a small group of your own choosing to reflect and pray with others throughout the summer for 45 minutes each week. Another option for reflection and prayer is to join the discussion group led by our Intentional Faith Development team twice a month on Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Another group has developed that will meet on the same dates in the morning at 11:00am.  Next discussion gatherings:  July 25, August 8, August 22.

Week 7 Reading:    Acts 15:1-35:

How do individuals and church deal with disagreements?

Only one chapter this week! This chapter presents a major development in the church, the process used to reach an important decision, the delivery of the message, and the conclusion itself.

Acts 15:1-5 Believers from Judea teach the necessity of circumcision

Acts 15:6-11  The apostles and elders meet together in Jerusalem– Peter’s speech.

Acts 15:12-21 Barnabas and Paul’s report. James speaks.

Acts 15:22-29  The church sends Judas &Silas with Paul & Barnabas with a letter.

Acts 15:30-35  The Letter is delivered to Antioch.

Children, Youth & Family Team Meeting

A Fall Planning Meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 18 at 5:30 PM.

Vacation Bible School registration is now open!

Theme:  “Splash Canyon — God’s promise on Life’s Wild Ride”

Dates: July 29 — August 2, with supper at 5:00 PM, and class time from 5:45 to 8:00 PM.

Fee is $10 per child with a maximum of $20 per family.

Free Bread Distribution

Every Tuesday from 9 AM until 6 PM (or until bread is gone), we sponsor a free bread distribution for the community. The church and other community members help by picking up the bread, setting the bread out on tables, providing bags and gloves and friendly smiling faces! Join the group for coffee ‘round the table about 8 to 8:30.

Support Vadnais Heights Food Shelf

Donations of nonperishable food, personal care items and cash are delivered to our local food shelf for distribution through the Vadnais Heights Food Shelf operated by the Vadnais Heights Lions. The Vadnais Heights Food Shelf serves the community of Vadnais Heights.

“Our Stories and God’s Story” at Cottages of Vadnais

Led by Pastor Chris, the group meets on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM in the Community Room of Vadnais Heights and includes people who live at the Cottages as well as others in the community who would like to come. All are welcome!
